👓 5 things nobody tells you about optometry
A short listicle this week:
- Good continuing education events cost money. Free continuing education events cost time.
- Most underrated learning opportunity: for patients you refer, ask ophthalmologists/neurologists to write back.
- Learn to read scientific articles. It's the best way to keep your practice up to date.
- When counselling: patients care more about your expression than your explanation. (Take it from me, RBF is not good here)
- Write thorough referral letters. Ophthalmologists are only going to trust you if you know what you’re doing.
See you all next week,
Jin
