šŸŒ Why do you love procrastinating?

This newsletter was supposed to be about sharing tidbits of information to help make your lives a little easier. School tips. Work tips. Maybe even the occasional bit of relationship advice. But mostly about navigating your 20s and trying to help you figure out what you want to do with your life.

šŸ’€ Except something stopped me from putting out a newsletter email for more than a year and a half.

...sorry, guys.

You see, the best thing about procrastinating is that while putting things off, you're free to imagine how amazing and perfect the final product will be. You hinge all of your motivation and excitement on this fantasy - this next [insert idea here] is going to be game-changing, and people are really going to love it.

When you finally start to get to work, the bubble bursts. Shit is actually really messy, and harder than you thought. And you realize that your final product is never going to be as perfect as you thought it was going to be.

It's a lot easier to go back to living that fantasy where things can be perfect than to try to slog through getting things done in real life.

Hence the prolonged hiatus.

So this week's newsletter is about pushing on through and shooting your shot. Even though it might be bad. Even if it doesn't change lives.

Because done is better than perfect. And sometimes, done is good enough.
